ABC’s smash hit show ‘Modern Family’ has been a huge success ever since its launch back in 2009. Season four hit our screens at the end of September, but almost never happened due to a pay dispute between the actors and 20th Century Fox Television. Much to the relief of fans of the show the dispute was resolved which means we’ll all be able to see our favorite character, Cameron Scott Tucker, played by Eric Stonestreet for at least another season.
The dynamics of Modern family would not be the same without the lucid outgoing personality of Cameron Scott Tucker, Mitchell’s the long time partner. Cameron Scott Tucker’s larger than life persona compliments Mitchell’s edgy persona which in our opinion makes the show one of the best currently on TV. Here at movie favorites we are over the moon that the pay dispute was resolved and Modern family has returned for season four.
Back in July, The Huffington Post reported that stars of the show, Sofia Vergara, Ed O’Neill, Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Eric Stonestreet and Jesse Tyler Ferguson had decided to drop their lawsuit against Fox after a new pay deal was agreed. Anthony McCartney’s article went on to add that none of the details regarding the new pay deal were released, but according to a report from US Magazine the stars of the show are now allegedly getting wages higher than the $65,000 an installment they were getting for their third season. Allison Corneau’s USMagazine.com article went on to add that the actors have could now be earning close to $175,000 dollars an episode.
Thankfully, we will be seeing plenty of beloved Cam again this season, and here at movie favorites we think Eric Stonestreet deserves every penny of his new pay deal, whatever it may be!
